Known Issues

  • When using the Chinese Traditional stroke input, one has the option (on the right side of the screen) to select the next character in the compound. However, adding on kanji in this way uses a different encoding to represent the characters than if you enter kanji in one at a time. Unfortunately, the WWWJDIC website does not recognize these alternate encodings and will only look up the first kanji entered. This is an issue with the website and not the frontend. Therefore, everyone is encouraged to simply enter in kanji one at a time when using the Chinese Traditional Stroke Recognition for best results.
